Ayakashi Triangle loses flagship Simulpub after publishing change

A major Shonen Jump series is losing its external simulpub distributor after changing the schedule and publications for the future of the manga! Kentaro Yabuki is one of the most popular and somewhat popular artists and creators that fans have seen over the years thanks to previous works like Black Cat, To-Love Ru, and a spicier sequel, To Love Ru Darkness. The creator’s latest manga series, Ayakashi Triangle, has been on the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020, but this race will come to an unexpected end in the near future.

The latest chapter of ayakashi triangle With the announcement that the original manga series of Kentaro Yabuki will not be published on the pages of Shonen Jump magazine. Instead of moving to the Jump+ app in Japan, the series will now be on a schedule to take a break after three seasons and will include a new color page with each release. While this was already noticeable on its own, it appears that the switch will negatively affect its version emulated with Viz Media in English.

As spotted by WSJ_manga on Twitter and several others, it appears that starting with the next chapter in the series, the Ayakashi Triangle will only be available with Shueisha’s International Manga Plus reading service from now on. This hasn’t been explicitly confirmed by Viz Media by the time of writing, but it sure would make sense since Viz Media has publicly skipped over a few chapters in recent weeks. On top of the fact that it was only online (and not available in the Shonen Jump app), a move away from simultaneous Viz Media releases seems to be in the cards.

future of ayakashi triangle It might only be on Manga Plus, but at least there’s still a way for foreign fans to enjoy each new chapter. Not only that, but it has been confirmed that the series will be getting an official anime adaptation of its own as well. No information about the production studio, staff, or release date has been revealed about the new anime as of this writing.
